Malacanang Palace – home for the elite!
Malacanang Palace, was built in 1802, sold to the Spanish and endured just about everything mother nature could throw at it. Earthquake, fire and the bombs from World War 2.
Malacanang Palace has housed diplomats, heads of state, and was the official palace of the President of the Philippines. Ferdinand Marcos and his wife lived in royalty there until the Filipinos had had enough and literally chased them into helicopters as they fled.
